Streaky freaky.

So I busted out the sunless tanning lotion last night.

If you know me at all, you can imagine the results.

My arms actually aren't too bad (and it is a natural color), but it's streaky/patchy near the wrists and hands and stuff. And my legs...good Lord. Once it dried, I noticed some parts that I had missed, so I tried to go back over it today to even out the streaks...Then but now I'm one shade darker and just as streaky.

I'm not sure WHY I thought this would be a remotely successful venture.

Hehehehehehe. I'm not sure why you thought that, either, but it makes for good reading :-)

I'd do my guinness comment again, but no one got it. :(

Renee said...

What guinness comment?

Jen said...

LOL. He referred to some Guiness commericial in an earlier post and none of us picked up on it. So he was all bummed cuz he was patting himself on the back for being so clever.

Rob said...

it was clever dammit!! probably my best comment ever. it took like 3 hours to get the wording right.

Renee said...

LOL. I'm clueless. Plus I don't think I've ever SEEN a Guinness commercial, so that would explain it. That shit's too fancy for my redneck family. ;-)

Jen- you're a dumbass! How many times are you gonna "try" that stuff before you realize it doesn't work? We all know you're white as a ghost, so why try to hide it?

Jen said...

I'm not "white as a ghost." I have "porcelain skin." Or "ivory," even.

HAHA Jen that is sweet! Don't take that from her >:P

Renee said...

LOLOLOL. I've got "ivory" skin, too :-) Nothing works as well as the tanning salon. And what's even funnier is that your face is probably still "ivory" and the rest of your body is streaky freaky :-)

Rob said...

Since I like more negative sounding terms, I'm going to say melanin deficient.

Rob said...

Renee - send my your movie and I'll let you know how 'ivory' skinned you are. Deal?

Renee said...

For some reason it was in black & white, so it's hard to tell. Plus, if I actually HAD the thing, I'd be selling it to you :-) Just kidding.

But we never did get it back. John says they probably watch it frequently, which makes me want to throw up.

Renee said...

Okay. We must stop discussing the video because I had a nightmare about it last night. And I woke up from it wanting to puke.

Jen said...

Nice going, Rob.

Renee said...

LOL. I dreamt that we went to Florida to visit them (never mind that they're back in MI now) and some of their friends stopped over to meet us and John (their neighbor, not my husband) said "oh my god, you're the girl on the video!"

LOLOLOL. Oh my god.

Nik said...

YOU have ivory skin? Ivory doesn't glow in the dark honey!

Renee said...

LOL Nikki. Not sure if you're referring to Jen or me, but it applies to both, I'm sure :-)

Nik said...

Renee, I don't think I've seen you in like 10 years, so I can't make fun of you. We;ll just make Jen the target of the comment! lol

Renee said...

Hmmm... I don't remember the last time I saw you, Nik... my first thought was Jen's 21st bday, which WAS forever ago. But I MUST have seen you since then...

Anyway, I'm quite porcelain skinned myself. And at least Jen's skin TANS in the summer-- I just burn or get a million freckles. Which, from a distance, could pass for a tan, I guess :-)

Rob said...

Well, I haven't seen any of you, but it won't stop me from making fun of everyone. I'm an equal opportunity ass. :)

Renee said...

Rob, my dear, we're quite aware :-)

I just bought some Olay Quench body lotion that contains a little bit of self-tanning lotion. It says you won't see a difference for about 4 days; I'll keep you all posted. But the regular Olay Quench stuff rocks. Used the new kind for the first time this morning... I'll let you know how tan I actually get from it :-)

Jen said...

Renee, I bought Jergens ....something. Same thing, though, lotion with a tanner in it. IT'S AWESOME.

I love Jen's Beauty Adventures!

I go from porcelain skin to lobster skin. That's about all I got. That's how God made me. ;)

Renee said...

LOL Anna!

I think the Olay stuff is already working a little bit, after only yesterday's application! My shoulders and legs are looking more golden than usual :-)
