My favorite things.

I'm having a Pollyanna moment and, instead of being cynical and pessimistic, I suddenly feel like looking on the bright side of things. This is just a partial list but I felt compelled to share. Feel free to add your own. (Please note that these are my favorite "things," which is why I left off obvious things like friends, family, Jeff, blah blah blah.)

- Sleeping in.
- Peanut butter and chocolate anything.
- Spongebob.
- Seeing someone who passed me on the freeway pulled over on the side of the road a few miles later. (Trust me--if you're going faster than me, then you DESERVE to be pulled over.)
- "Bridge Over Troubled Water."
- 80s music.
- Shopping for soldier care packages.
- Reading.
- Being able to do a hell of a roundhouse kick (thank you, Billy Blanks).
- Watermelon.
- The #12 car. (Hell, NASCAR in general.)

I was thinking the same thing over my hour of freedom that I like to call "lunch."
I love flowering trees, especially pink crab apples.
I love blue skies and sunshine.
I love chocolate milkshakes.
I love when my car dings to tell me I left my lights on.

Look! Your "chocolate" thing created new links to click! :-)

I'll share my favorite things later tonight after Brent goes to bed!

Hmm...I dont have a chocolate one. I wonder if different people see different links then. Interesting.

I would what would happen if I added "transvestites" and "crack" to my list of favorite things.

Can't be Missy. She would never use a big word like "obligations." ;)

Thanks Jen- Ya know I DO TO know big words I just choose not to use them. By the way no that wasn't me. Anyways-things I like

WHO IS INSULTING YOUR INTELLIGENCE? (Only *I* get to do that.) WHO'S BEIN MEAN TO MY SISTER??

Hmmm.... this would be a long list, but I'm going to condense it much! Here goes:
-Sex
-the Inferno (RW/RR challenge on MTV)
-ER
-Alcohol (this "new" drink I found called Tarantula is awesome)
-Love
-Laughing
-Roses
-the sunrise/sunset
-Ireland
-English accents
-70's and 80's music
-Chicken tacos
-Mexican music/food
-My day off of work
-The word semen, just cuz it sounds funny!!
There's plenty more, but I don't wanna take up space!

it was me - Kishelle. Sorry Missy, I forgot you were the only one who usually posts anonymous.

Jen said...

I have to add "Smell of Playdoh" to my list.

Anna said...

I have to agree with Nik-
I love hearing people with accents- so romantic and interesting! I was always gonna marry someone from somewhere else so that I could listen to an accent forever. Then Tim messed that up ;)
I love the red color that only comes in sunsets and campfires.

Also, I have to agree with Missy-
Gotta love orgasms!

Rob said...

bunch of perverts over here.

Renee said...

Damnit! I actually knew that was Kishelle cuz of the Asti, but I didn't respond in time to guess :-)

I'm feeling blog deprived; haven't had much time to get on in the last couple days, and I still don't... hopefully after Brent goes to bed tonight!

Jen said...

Rob: they almost make me look virginal, eh?

Renee said...

Okay, not even J Lo makes you look virginal ;-)

Ooh, I agree with Nikki and Anna-

- ACCENTS. Love them. Shit, even a southern drawl will do in a pinch :-)
- a sunny 70ยบ day
- chocolate
- LOL, the pill, like Kish
- Target
- music
- I'm a copycat; shopping for my soldier who, btw, sent me the most beautiful Mother's Day card and I just love her
- doing things for people that make them happy
- books
- And yes, orgasms... who DOESN'T love those?
- the freedom that our soldiers fight for every day.
- sleeping

Okay, that's enough. Rob, I'm glad you finally recognized that we're pervs... now tell us YOUR favorite things!

Jen said...

LOLOL. That J Lo comment was prety good.

HORRIBLY INACCURATE, of course, but pretty good.

nice blog!

warm towels after a bath
yankee candles
smell of spring
capturing a great pic on film
whining
a good beer
a walk in the woods
a roadtrip (with any of you ladies would be fun)
gas lights (when almost out of gas)
fabric softener

Jen said...

Yay, we have a new friend!

Renee said...

And I see on her profile that she likes sex toys! You can hook her up with some Pure Romance :-)

Single Again, you sound really cool; visit us often! And I'll visit your blog tomorrow :-)

Soaking in a whirlpool tub while facing my girl, with bubbles of course.
Cooking a good meal, then enjoying it with a nice glass of wine.
Coming up with a decent sounding tune on the guitar.
The beach.
A good microbrew.
And yeah, an orgasm ain't half bad.

Rob said...

I forgot a nice back rub :)

SingleAgain said...

Sounds like our mutual friend Rob is coming out of that stuffy shell. Thats a good thing!

Renee said...

Oh yeah, cooking and baking are on my list of faves, too. How could I forget?

Rob said...

stuffy? moi? i must not be coming across properly on here. and renee, not once did I mention baking.

Rob, maybe you and Renee can trade cookie recipes.

Okay I'm done.

Jen said...

Hey Rob, at bettycrocker.com, you can search recipes and then save them to your online recipe file.

OK, NOW I'm done.

Renee said...

LOL! When I said "too", I didn't mean "like Rob". I meant that when Rob said cooking, I had a "duh!" moment and wanted to add cooking and baking to my list of favorite things :-)

But Rob, I do have some kick ass recipes, if you'd like to swap ;-)

Who has a favorite thing on here?

https://pureromance.com/mySiteCategories.aspx?idDept=5

Jen said...

B.O.B.

Jen said...

And Daddy from the Nati. And Dust me Pink. And Whipped.

The question is unfair, really. It's like asking someone to choose which of their children is their favorite.

Anonymous said...

Yes I'm with Jen- BOB is a great toy to own Melissa

Renee said...

Hey, my PR response isn't on here! First things first-- Jen, your comment definitely ERASES your virginal appearance.

MY favorite product is... well, I'm not sure what it's called. But it's a magic wand-looking thing; one end is a tassle whip, the other end is a feather. Such a lovely little thing!

I also love Whipped.

My sister has a BOB and is quite fond of it as well :-) The first time she said something about it, I thought she was talking about Bobby Waldo. Hehehehe. I'd rather have that picture in my mind anyway than my sister with a BOB. Gross.

Rob said...

You all seem to be forgetting the ROB. It's not too bad either.

Renee said...

LOLOL! I'm sure it's great :-)

I like you, even if you did steal my best friend :-)

Rob said...

You can have her back.. I just polluted my itunes with some song she wanted. No more of that.

Renee said...

LOL, thanks :-) We're just all gonna have to agree to disagree on musical taste! Who's she polluting you with?

Jen said...

Josh Gracin is hardly "pollution."

Renee said...

Oh my god, Josh Gracin is the EPITOME of pollution!

Jen said...

And THIS, Renee, is why I have a new BFF.

Renee said...

LOL. Okay, I will admit that I heard one of his songs on the radio and liked it. And THEN John told me it was Josh. So I guess as long as you don't have to LOOK at him, at his big ugly head and squinty scrunched up dramatic face all the time, he's not THAT bad :-)

*Insert your comment about Constantine being dramatic here*

Jen said...

My name's Constantine, and I'm going to follow the camera around with my Evil Stink Eye during the whole song whilst I pout and try to look sexy, thereby distracting everyone away from my lack of singing ability.

Anna said...

Oh yes! Couple more favorite things-

Road Trips
Massages- especially a good shoulder or foot massage- sigh
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough- yummy!

Renee said...

Whatever, he sings better than that fuckin Anthony guy!

And I like his evil stink eye, in moderation. He has beautiful, soulful eyes. He can pouty sing to me any day. Unless I have to pick between him and Bo...
