Man’s Man or Dumb Ass?

Tim plays softball and I usually go to sit in the stands as a softball wife. I didn’t go this week but when he came home I was sorry I’d missed it.

He walked into the house at 11:30 with a Big Ol’ Black Eye! I squealed about it, got him ibuprofen and ice and then asked “So this must’ve happened late in the last game, huh?” He said no, not quite, and proceeded to tell me the story of how he was accidentally hit in the cheek during warm up but wanted to stay and play. After the Ambulance EMTs declared him OK he went out to play. He hit 3 home runs in a row and played like a madman.

He’s all proud of himself and says that anyone who quits after they’re hurt is a pansy. I think anyone hit in the head with something that earns attention from an Ambulance should take it easy for the night. Is this a gender difference or a no brainer?

A black eye is nothing, I was playing softball with the cartilage in my throwing shoulder all torn to hell. So to answer your question, dumb-ass and a pansy. : )

j/k

not about my shoulder though, that hurt.

Oh yeah, if he had sat out after gettin' hit in the face, his teammates woulda never let him live it down. He had to prove to himself and his teammates that a MERE BASEBALL TO THE FACE ISN'T ENOUGH TO KEEP HIM DOWN!!

In fact, that Ambulance factor was an added bonus, in Man Points.

LOL...men are retarded. No need to worry about the clot forming in his head that could could strike his vision or drop him dead. He had 3 homeruns afterall.

Exactly, single!

It’s definitely gender difference. I don’t know how much of it is actually biological, and how much is from our social learning. But gender differences do exist.

5 days later it's a lovely shade of reddish-purple. His Mom wants me to send her a picture so she can share it with the rest of the family.

Need to share the pic with us too :)

BTW as any man (and woman) know the story gets embellished more as time goes on. He told the repeat of the story to you, but what about today ... isn't it a elbow to the eye when he scored at home plate to win the game!! :))

Yeah, Anna! Post pics here so we can see his game winning shiner :-)
