Secret agent (wo)man.

Anna and I went undercover last night as secret shoppers for steakfood chain restaurant. We went there as "first time visitors" (for Anna, she didn't even have to pretend) and secretly rated them on service, food, etc. I think we were pretty smooth about it, except when we accidentally ran out on the bill at the end and got chased down by our waitor (I had unthinkingly put the signed credit card receipt in my purse, along with the other copies). So THAT kind of impeded our attempt to blend in and not draw attention to ourselves. But other than that, it was an evening of great (virtually free) food and even better conversation.

Oh, and one other thing--and as of tonight, I'm 72 hours smoke-free. It's been a couple of months since I've made it this long.

Ah, yeah, Hon, that would be Secret Agent WomEn (plural). Thank you, thank you very much.
I think they must've known who were were though, because the manager kept coming up to us and asking if she could give us her first born- It was a bit disconcerting, but very good food!

I KNOW that Anna, but I was going to a reference to that old song, "Secret Agent Man," so "Women," in its plural form, wouldn't have worked.

Sheesh.

Congrats on being smoke-free. Never tried one because my mother would blow her smoke at me while I was finishing up my mashed potatoes. Yuck.

She also cleaned my room while chain smoking, ensuring that I smelt like an ashtray at school the next day. Yuck.

Good luck…

Ick- Pretty compelling reasons, Fred. They'd work for me. I just don't like the things, myself.

Those would work, Fred! My dad smoked when I was little, but I don't think my sister and I ever smelled like it... not a LOT, anyway. It was gross, and yet I (secretly) took up the habit for a few years. I didn't have any trouble quitting, probably because I only smoked like 4 or 5 a day. But I like to have one when I'm at the bar with Jen. Heh. They actually pack quite a buzz when you haven't had one in over a year :-)

Congrats to you, Jen! You can do it :-)

Do I believe you accidently forgot to leave the signed credit card receipt?? Do I??

Steak sounds pretty good. Now I'm hungry.

Congrats on the NOT smoking.

Yeah, sure, Jen- You had to be true to the song lyrics. Whatever. ;)
