Seriously, I'm not right.
I was at Bath and Body Works over the weekend (DID NOT buy anything, thank you very much), and I tested some sunless tanning lotion on a (visible) portion of my arm.
Let me say that again, to make sure you got it. Part of my arm, from including my inner elbow and upper forearm, is covered in self-tanning lotion. The rest of my arm--hell, the rest of my BODY--is not.
Are you getting a visual yet?
I had to go out to buy some self-tanning lotion today (mind you, not the same kind that was actually tested on my arm; I didn't want to spend that much on such a little bottle--plus, I don't like the orange-y results I got), because my arm looks so freakish that I'm scaring the children. I'll update you on the application (and, of course, the results) later tonight.

wow that is cool Jen. what are you thinking trying it there and why so much :)?
How about posting a picture?
Rob, Your funny
Whats wrong Jen I thought that looked sexy. Melissa
What were you thinking? I guess you weren't thinking at all.
I loved the post about "thunder."
Also, in case I won't already look like enough of a freak by the time this sunless-tanning experiment is over, I ALSO bought a home-hilighting kit for my hair.
Anna, dinner tomorrow night should be quite entertaining.
I read this too late, Renee. Already did it. In hindsight, waiting for Jeff to get home from work before attempting would not have been a horrible idea. At least then the back of my head would not have been highlighted blindly. (I couldn't find a mirror with which to aid the process.)
The front of my hair looks okay, as far as the actual color goes. The jury is still out on the even spacing of the highlights, however, since I can only see part of my head. I'll let you know.
I think I'll wait till tomorrow for the tanning portion of Operation: Summer Beautification.
Yeah Jen why didn't you ask me to do I would love too.
Melissa
LOL, you can fix it for me this weekend, as I'm sure the back and sides of my head look horrendous and I just don't know it yet. =-)
Anyway, you guys know how I am. When I get it into my head to do something, I have to do it RIGHT THEN THAT VERY MINUTE. There's no "waiting till the weekend" (or even till Jeff gets home, apparently).
I have been there many times...now i just go to the fake bake..lol.:-)
LOL, yeah that'd be ideal, but you're talkin to the girl who couldn't afford the "fancy" self-tanning lotion...so GOING to the tanning salon is out of the question for me, at least right now. (Now once I get that high-paying teaching job, though...)
OK, Jeff says it looks good. He said I looked "wonderful," actually. I think he's really liking me as a blonde. ;) (I got a little heavy-handed with the highlighting brush, so instead of blonde-brownish hair with light blonde highlights, I now kind of have light blonde hair with BROWNISH-BLONDE highlights--or "lowlights," as I guess they'd technically be called.)
My point is, my hair is quite blonde, but it looks pretty good, is relatively even and I don't look like too much of a freak. (However, there's still plenty of time for that...stay tuned.)
Jen - we must see a picture of your new do.
All I'm going to say is you're a freakin fruit loop Jen! Even if you do look like a freak, hell we're all used to it and we still love ya! lol
And just a question... high-paying teaching job, isn't that like an oxymoron? They don't get paid near enough for what they do.
Yeah, but for the "average" going rate for teachers, MI really does pretty somewhat decently.
That's why it's hard to find a teaching job in Michigan. Maybe I'll have to move somewhere else...like Boston.
Remind me to slip Brent a $10 next time I see him. Great kid, that one. Great taste in women, too.
And you know what, we DO know people in Boston! Why, I never even thought of that! What a 100% coincidence! ;)
LOLOL Renee, I just saw your Nextel comment. Bite me.
And Rob, I never said they didn't play out here. In fact, I stated that Jeff HAD seen them. I simply informed you that *I* wasn't familiar.
