It's a girl!

No, Anna didn't have her baby. I would, however, like you to welcome the newest addition to MY family--Lily. She's an Easter Lily I bought at the store today, and like her mom, she's dirty and will probably blossom early.

(Are you groaning yet? That was pretty bad. LOL)

Anyway, I usually kill plants off pretty quickly, so we'll see how long she survives. Wish us both luck.

Lily, age 1 day

LOLOLOL. Actually, I *think* Easter Lilies are among the easier to keep alive; you might actually do well! Just don't OVERwater it; I think that's the most common way people kill them. Good luck :-)

So if I've watered her like 7 times already in an effort to make sure she doesn't get too dry--is that too much?

You know how new parents are.

=-)

LOLOLOL :-) Maybe a bit much. And sometimes the top of the dirt will look dry, but they still don't need water. Stick your finger about and inch into the soil... if it's wettish, it's fine. If it's dry that far down, give it a drink.

*sigh*

being a new parent is HARD.

LOL. Yeah, I know. But each year goes by faster than the last... pretty soon, she'll be watering herself and you'll feel like she doesn't even NEED you anymore. Enjoy these moments while they last ;-)

LMFAO You two are frickin crackheads! I about died laughing reading, "stick your finger in about an inch.... if it's wettish, it's fine".
Jen, good luck with your new addition.
