Dolphins, dolphins and more dolphins

You can't tell from these pics--but the dolphins were SO close to our boat. It was soooo cool; I was driving the boat, doing my typical lead-foot thing (even on water, LOL), when we noticed a dolphin just ahead of us. I cut the motor--and then we looked around and realized we were SURROUNDED by them. It was truly breathtaking--a really, really awesome moment, the kind that will stay with you forever. Anyway, here are some shots from Easter Dolphin Day.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! I'm so jealous! I'm so declaring a dolphin-seeking day when we come down next year. I'm a little bored with the alligator sightings.

Cool!
Although they may be sharks. Shows how much I know about dolphins.

When my mom & aunt were down they went to a place called Discovery Cove in Orlando where they swam with dolphins. It was expensive but they Loved it!

I love the blog's new blue tones!

I added a bit more to my original post, since my connection went down last night while I was working on it--but yeah, it was so cool.

Jen, I love the blues and I also love your little polls. More when this one closes, please :-)

What would happen if you jumped off the boat and tried to swim with the dolphins?

she'd find out that they're actually sharks ;-)

You driving a boat is an unsettling thought to be totally honest. Thank God those dolphins avoided you.
Thos pics are kickass though. What is it about dolphins? They're so badass!

Anna: in theory, I could get in trouble if I were "caught" since you're not supposed to interact with wild dolphins. It's just as much for their protection (if not more) than yours--you don't want them to learn that people are "good" and therefore trust them because unfortunately, some of them aren't. That, my friend, is the only reason I DIDN'T jump in--I could have handled the getting in trouble part, I just didn't want to do something that could possibly endanger them in the future.

I was so close to doing it though.

And I am an AWESOME boat steerer. Vroooommmmmmmm.......
