Greetings from Alaska

At least, that's what it feels like here in Michigan.

The high today is going to be in the 60s.

I'll say that again.

The HIGH.

In the SIXTIES.

My new Florida blood can't take this.

However, the skies are a bright blue with nary a cloud in the sky, so that ain't bad.

The trip was fine. Turbulance to Michigan because there were some storms, but not too bad. (Except for one drop that reminded me of Busch Gardens.) My flight out of Detroit was delayed an extra hour, but that was okay since Detroit has a great airport with lots to do and I got to go to National Coney Island, one of Detroit's great treasures and one of the things I miss the most.

I'll be in touch.

Cold weather sucks. And, anything below 75 degrees is cold.

Hey, we're just happy it's not snowing or raining. If it's sunny, we're happy. You're going to have to readjust yourself, there, Sweetie. Life's not easy up here in the Nort.

Ya know Jen's in trouble when I'm agreeing with her that it's cold here. Admittedly, not comparing it to Alaska by any means, still a bit chilly. It'll be back in the mid-70's for you in a couple days, Jen.

Wow, how can it only be in the 60's there? Must be lovely Lake Michigan, huh? It's 80 here today and is supposed to be 80 and sunny the rest of the week. I know it's not Florida-hot, but if it gets over 83, I bitch about it being too hot. Should be a happy medium for all of us

Bwahaha! I know what you mean. I was in Chicago this weekend, and the high of 72 was a bit "cool."

:D

Yeah, I know. We should quit bitching. When my brother-in-law came home to Michigan from Iraq IN DECEMBER, of all months, he was freezing. Even the first summer he was home he was freezing. It really took about a year for his body to get re-adjusted. I'm happy to say that he was sweating while watching Brent's baseball game when they visited us a couple weeks ago :-)

Hey Schecki--how are you adjusting to life in Florida?

I miss Detroit Coney Islands, too. I haven't had a good Greek salad or pita bread since I left Michigan, I tell you what!

I love it here.

You live in the same town as my future in-laws, btw. :)
