Wow.
Approximately one month from now, I will be turning 29.
I'm not exactly where I thought I'd be.
And then one year from NOW, I'll be turning "twenty-ten." After THAT, I'll be "twenty-eleven." (You get the idea. There will be no 3-0 for me.)
It could be worse, though...I could be old enough to have a DAUGHTER who is 29. (Ahem.)

Our little girl's growing up *sigh, wiping a tear away* I remember when she was this big. lol It's not that bad Jen and I think you've actually done pretty good for yourself.
Sure, in two months I'll be apartmentless, jobless and marriageless...but other than THAT, I'm right on track.

But you will be a teacher in training who has gotten screwed over by lots of guys, but the girl who use to get walked all over is no longer in there. Be proud, be very proud. Don't forget, I am the same age as you only by a few days. YUCK...29...
Anna - You are such a vibrant person! you always have the positive swing on things. Wait until you start to approach thirty, then you start thinking about what you should have done, shouldn't have done, should do now, etc...age is just a #, but damn 30. that is crazy! But I guess Anna is right, if you look at it that way.

You are SO OLD! This is said jokingly, as I am a 43 year old who would love to be 29.
Jen, honey I got news for ya, just because your're not married doesn't mean your life has been meaningless.I'm only a year behind you and I don't think anything less of me because I'm not married at my age. Like Anna said, focus on the positives, you have come a LONG way from where you used to be and you know that.

Ok so that probably didn't make you feel any better. 30 scares me a bit too but you know what? life continues and I dont know a single person who has everything figured out or who has done everything they wanted to do at 60 much less 30. And isn't that a blessing. Cause if you had... well... what would you do?
As for perception. If I look at the world that way then the Lumpy is 28 going on 70. lol. All I need now is a walker and some grey hair.

Jen isn't even 29 yet, she will be 29 in October but she is already worried about 30. I will be 29 in November and am worried about 30 as well. Geesh, the things life brings. Jen - have i really known you this long? OUCH!
