Forgive me, Lord...

...for I have sinned.

I actually bought BRITNEY SPEARS skates.

In my defense:

a) they look pretty sharp (see photo for exhibit A)
b) they're way cheaper than other "quads"
c) they're Skechers, so at least they're SOMEWHAT cool and, most importantly,
d) I'm going through a breakup and am NOT THINKING CLEARLY, dammit.

And, like the ad says, "Catch their eyes while cruising around in Britney Spears' signature roller skate, exclusively by Skechers! ...Like Britney, these Skechers' skates are hot, stylish, and fun!"

HA. So don't be hatin' while I'm crusing around with my hot, stylish and fun ass.

ERRGH! I don't know what's worse the fact that you bought them or the fact that you referred to them as looking "pretty sharp"! lol

Again, I must say, you know how I know you're gay!

Are you saying they DON'T look "pretty sharp," Nik, or are you just laughing at my choice of words?

Just read your post about Tyson.
Damn.
Can't think of a single comforting thing to say....
If you'd bought skates with sharp blades you could stick them up his... No, that's not a very Christian thing to say. Forget I suggested that. I hope your heart heals quickly. I wish you joy.

Hahahhhahaa.....JOHN! I'm shocked!

Very flattered and touched, though. Thanks. =-)

Cruisin' in style ... actually they look nice and you wouldnt know they were "Spear" skates unless you got close.

Break-up? sorry :(

I don't see how they're Britany skates. They look cool to me.

They just hired a girl at work named Britany. I laugh every time I hear her name. Britanys don't work; they, like, go to the mall, you know?

LMAO, Anna!
Jen, I side with Nik on the "pretty sharp" comment. Classic CARS look "sharp". A guy in a suit can look "sharp". Rollerskates do not look "sharp"
:-) I still love you though.

Hey, I'll go skating with you - we can take the boys. I think I'll rent a pair of skates there though. I don't think I could find a pair as "sharp" as those anywhere.
Are we talking Britany Spears in her Micky Mouse days? If so nice buy.

Anna said...

Seriously folks, why are they Britany Spears skates? I don't get it!

Thats why its ok Anna, you cant see anything Britney on it. They just call it "Britney" skates so they can charge more ;)

Anna, since you are so clearly disturbed by this Britney Skate Issue, I'm trying to find the description of them. They have, like, a B logo somewhere, and her name somewhere (across the tongue maybe)...there's a few distinguishing features that make these "Britney" skates. But it's a lot less obvious on the red skates, which is why I paid more. If you look at these blue ones, you can see it a lot better (which is what I DON'T want)

Anna said...

Ohhhh, yeah, I see now. Whew, thanks! I think your red ones are just fine. :)

Renee said...

Yeah, the red ones are much "sharper" than the blue ones :-)

Jeff, welcome back to blogland... I guess you are interested in more than nascar ;-)

Jen said...

Jeff, quit trying to be cool like me.

J said...

As long as YOU'RE aware of that fact, it's all good, Jeff :-)
