Overheard at the grocery store this afternoon:
Two boys (about 7 and 9) and their mom were in the snack/chips aisle.
"Oooh, can we get these ones?" asked the older boy, pointing to a particular type of Goldfish crackers.
"No," the mom vetoed. "They're too colorful."
??????
What kind of colorless world from hell do those poor kids live in?

Too colorful? Good grief...
Your post made me think of the West Wing episode where Danny gave the goldfish to CJ -- one of the funniest events ever on television. If you are not a West Wing fan, my reference makes no sense, but you might want to check that vcr tape out of the library just for fun.

was it just a quick response to like get them to quit bugging her? I mean seriously? Too colorful? Never heard of such a thing...that is insane.
