Random thought.

Why is it called the "Middle East"? There's no "Upper East" or "Lower East" or "High East." If there's no other similarly named geographic locations that we need to differentiate it from, couldn't we just call it the "East"?

Jeff: isn't it scary to catch a glimpse into how my mind works? I think weird-ass shit like that all the time. Just think, the next time I'm gazing at you adoringly, I might be thinking something equally random.

Speaking of random--NICE random thought, Anna. Very out-of-nowhere.

RENEE, YOU JUST SOLVED IT! It just hit me while I was drying my hair at 7:07 am. You're right, China and Asia as a whole are collectively known as the "Far East," creating the need for a "Middle East."

(Still, there's no "Near East" or "Close By East.")

Okay, I feel much better now that I've gotten a resolution to that. Sadly, it's been bothering me for days.

Good Lord it took you people a long time to figure that one out. It's frightening that soon (if not now) you will be able to vote.

Hey, I have random strangers insulting me on my blog now.

Sweet.

(And yes, little philosophy major, I assure you that we're all old enough to vote. Now grab some cookies and milk and skip off to bed.)

Crap, now I feel bad for posting a bitchy reply to Philosophy Major. Even though he's probably off thinking deep thoughts and won't bother to read my reply. Still, I apologize for getting mad that you came to my blog and insulted me.

Fucker.
