I'm not much of a sports fan, but having the "hometown team" FINALLY make it to the World Series again (just a couple years after being the worst team in the league) is pretty exciting. Makes me wish I was back in Detroit.

GO TIGERS! I do remember when they won in 1984. I felt really old when Nik said she didn't remember that on her blog...um yeah, even a few years can make a ton of difference I guess. Back then, my Mom was a tigers addict and i had crushes on some of the players and even collected baseball cards ;). Yup, I did. I was a regular old tomboy. No I don't have the cards anymore damn it!
Kish: Kirk Gibson!! LOL hell, even *I* collected baseball cards back then. (for about a day, then I got bored, of course.)

Oh yeah Fred, I forgot. =-) At least I know what they're called now. And I know football is the Bucs...no idea who the bball team for around here is, but I'm pretty sure I'll always root for the Pistons (as much as I can root for anyone, that is, since I'm not a huge fan)
And yesterday was an in-service day; we were getting ready for report cards, hence my availability.
Yeah, there'll definately be some rioting if they win the World Series, guaranteed. It'd be kinda fun to part of the mayhem though (evil grin)
Renee-- yes, love Pudge! I also like Placido Polanco. BUT, my fave piece of man candy on the team is Joel Zumaya (the relief pitcher). One word: HOT!!!
