LOL. Well, I have to be careful what I say on here, as he has found my blog through my Yahoo profile. ;)
BUT, I'll say this:
The date was actually a very good first date. The conversation flowed pretty easily, he's got a great smile and nice eyes and I didn't spill on myself, trip, etc. As I told him, though, I just don't LIKE first dates, period; I feel like so much of it is almost like a job interview until a few weeks in. I like the phase that comes once you've been hanging out a while, and you can truly be yourself, be comfortable just sitting there watching TV, etc. So I guess that's when I meant by my lack of earlier enthusiasm. The date was WONDERFUL. IT WAS FABULOUS. HE IS THE BEST PERSON EVER. (There, Bill, was that better?) ;)
We met through Match.com; I put up a profile when I knew for sure that I'd be coming back here. I wanted to find people to hang out with and, if I was REALLY lucky, someone to hang out with during the upcoming holidays (cuz Lord knows I'll have to get out of the house). ;) We've been talking online for the last few weeks, which is probably part of the reason this first dinner went well--we already had stuff to talk about, knew a little about each other, etc.
No kiss. He was a gentleman and didn't try (don't know if he wanted to). He did give me a hug, though. He smelled really good.
