'Tis the season...
...to start exercising like a madwoman so I don't scare small children during the warmer, remove more clothes/ show more skin summer months. For the foreseeable future, I plan on spending quite a lot of time with Mr. Billy Blanks.
Looks like we'll be taking another trip to the Dutch side of the state next month for Tulip Time. Although I have historically made it my mission to AVOID West Michigan during tulip season, my grandparents (on my mom's side) will be in town that weekend, and I'm truly excited to see them again. Furthermore, we're having a "family picnic" or some crazy thing and it looks like the Garcias (ie, my daughter and family) will be able to make it. I haven't seen Amanda in...wow, a year and a half now?...because of the circumstances surrounding our situation (which have been well-documented previously on this very blog; in short, though, because it's too damn hard to continue to bite my tongue when she SHOULD have been told the truth so long ago); however, I also need to make sure that I keep our relationship strong (after all, the secret will come out eventually, and I don't want to waste the trust, love and friendship that I've spent years building up between Amanda and me).
Other than that...everything is going great. One usual thing to note: the other day, I was singing "You Are My Sunshine" to the kids--until Luc, the 2 year old, reached out and put his hand over my mouth. Fabulous...even a toddler can recognize my horrible lack of tune and pitch.
(For the record, I continue to blame the recurring ear infections I had as a child for my tone-deafness.)

Okay, being that I would consider myself a member of the family, why have I heard absolutely nothing of said "family picnic"? Just curious.....
Because it's nothing "official," I dont even know if it's really a picnic. Did Mom tell you that the grandparents were going to be in town that weekend?
Yeah, appearently we're just the stepkids cause I haven't heard anything either. Whatever I don't want to go to your picnic but not really anyways. JK-- Melissa
Oh, knock it off. It's like a month away. That means Mom won't really start planning for it for another 29 days. =-) The only reason *I* know is cuz she told me she invited the Garcias to the picnic, and I was like, "What picnic?"
And it's not a PICNIC, just people eating outside in the warm weather.
;)
FYI, Mom just told me that the "family picnic" is now an "indoor picnic," which basically means "dinner."
So yeah, we're having family over for dinner. Bring your party hats.
Ah, yet another venture where Jen will be less than 15 minutes away from my house and probably make NO ATTEMPT to get in contact with me, AGAIN. You have a month to plan accordingly Jen and if you are too busy, just bring Renee, she and i will hang out, ha :)
Oh lord, where do I begin?
1) Renee, don't you DARE make me look bad by hanging out with Kishelle while you're in town, LOL. I'll never, and I mean, NEVER, hear the end of it from Kishelle.
2) Kishelle, IN MY DEFENSE, I will have my grandparents in town that I haven't seen in years AND my daughter who I also haven't seen in much longer than I care to admit.
See? I really do have REALLY GOOD EXCUSES.
LOL, I know, but it's ALREADY nonstop like that!
But you're right, maybe we could plan something for either 2 am on Fri night/Sat morning or 5:30 am Sat night/ Sun morning.
Wow, Thanks Anna and Renee. I don't even have to defend myself. Jen will be a ball of excuses no matter how many or few people she has to see. She can't even sneak away to meet a couple of old high school friends for coffee. bummer!
It has been 5 years on Friday since she has seen me. my wedding was the last time.
Happy Anniversary Kishelle!!!
(Note the change of subject.) ;)
I am married to the KING OF SUBJECT CHANGE, it can't happen. i have learned to bring things back on track. Again, there are 24 hours in a day, if you spend 10 with your family and Amanda, and then spent 2 or so with me and maybe Kacey, then you still have 12 hours to sleep and whatever. next excuse PLEASE!
Jen, Seriously, come home a day early or stay a day late, what the crap!. next excuse...
But I'm FAT!
I have to lose 25 lbs by then.
Plus, what the hell do I do with Jeff while we're girl talking?
I think jeff would be insulted to think you think he is incapable of surviving without you? I don't want to see you for the size of your body anyway, so I don't care if you think you are fat. BITE ME BIS-NITCH!
Yeah, what Renee said!!
Yeah, listen to Renee, the girl has good ideas. besides it would be fun to drink coffee and tell Jeff some old high school stories. ah now!
I'm laughing my ass off, thinking of some old high school memories now.
"Joe was MY roughneck brotha!!"
and remember the burger king cup? That was funny. not sure why, but it was funny. What about the Quote List?? WHAT THE HECK!
