LOL. I didn't know that. Ants are crazy enough without being hopped up on caffeine! I keep my coffee in the freezer, so I guess that keeps them at bay. LOLOLOL. What, exactly, happened?
I left some used grounds in the filter and like a millimeter of coffee in the pot and, well, I was almost carried away by ants when I got home yesterday (granted, it was in there a couple of days, but STILL). They SWARMED that pot and the coffee maker, were all over the counter, etc
I didn't know that, Jen. I wouldn't think they would. I always thought they were attracted to sweet stuff and coffee grounds seem like they'd be pretty bitter.
Well at least I'm not the only one. and frankly, it's not the first time I've done something like that so I'm not sure what the deal was. It WAS vanilla coffee but still....

jen, ants will not cross baby powder.. so sprinkle a ring of it around where they are getting in and no more ants. :)

EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. I'd be bleaching my countertops and possibly buying a new coffee maker, or at the very least, bleaching that, too :-)
