*Theme From Rocky*

(Imagine "Gonna Fly Now" playing on this site in an SoR-type manner.)

Oh, it's ON.

If my body wants to fight me, I'll just fight back harder. I'll walk longer. I'll eat better.

I have the kind of motivation and inspiration to get this weight off that I have NEVER HAD in my life.

Mark my words: Come December, I WILL be down to the 140s.

From http://www.inspirationalwriting.info/rockytheme.htm:

This is about personal success, personal power. It isn't even really about competition - it is you outdoing yourself. It is you being in your prime, doing what you do in such a perfect way. That's what it is about.

And forever more, when you do something of great importance, when you work and work for that goal, and you finally get there... what better way to express that feeling than to listen to the Theme from Rocky! Raise your hands in the air like a champion, for you have conquered!

Coming soon: my starting measurements. (Yes, I'm putting them up here for the world to see, and I'll be posting updated stats once a month. I'M DONE FUCKING AROUND.)

BRING IT.

That was SO not the point of the post, Anna.

But I'm going to Texas.

I need cheesy inspirational songs.

So far I have The Final Countdown, Rocky, Eye of the Tiger, Get Knocked Down, and Break my Stride.

Jen: I started on Atkins (later, South Beach) in March of 2004 beginning at 212 pounds. I set a goal to lose 20 pounds and wound up losing 30. I felt great.

I've since put back on 15, mostly the Europe thing. Starting in a few weeks, I'm back on my modified diet which will take off five or so, putting me at my perceived ideal weight.

I've never felt better, and it's really cool to wear all those jeans that were sitting on the shelf for many, many years. Not an extreme makeover, but it was good enough for me.

GOOD LUCK!

I'm going to hang out with a soldier friend during his leave.

Hmmmmm.

Just nod and smile, please. (Those who know me well, I suspect, will not be surprised by this.)

I am just merely discussing the innocent visit to a friend.

I am NOT, for example, looking at listings on Realtor.com. (Ahem.)

Jen said...

PS, it's not a jinx to talk about the visit. It's a jinx to talk about what may or may not happen as a RESULT of the visit.

You mean Texas Michigan right ;). Best of luck to ya then! Not that I see you often, but at least with Detroit, I know I can get to you by car and it wont take a month of sundays "). Keep up the good work!!

I am now nodding and smiling. Loyal readers respond as instructed.

Actually, Fred, I respect your opinion, so if you have something to say, please do so.

As long as it's completely supportive.

;)

*shaking head* are you EVER gonna learn anything Jen? Unbelievable. Best of luack to ya though.

Jen said...

Yes, I have learned never to give up in my search for happiness.

HA.

Also, that tomorrow's only a day away.

Well, I'm striking out in Michigan, that's for DAMN sure.

And anyway, the way I look at it, the worst case scenario is that I make a new guy friend in Texas and meanwhile, I've dropped like 25 pounds. (Actually, worst case scenario is that he could be a total asshole, but hey, at least I'm still skinny.) ;)

LOL Anna, tell Amy thank you very much. (Is this the Amy that I knew?)

Well that's why I try to keep things exciting. Wouldn't want anyone to get bored. ;)
