Look, I'm riding a big furry tractor!

Okay, so we're a little behind the rest of the country, but we finally watched "Anchorman" tonight. You will be randomly quoting this movie for weeks to come ("Why don't you go back to your home on Whore Island!"). A couple of times, I actually laughed so hard that I started to choke. If, for some reason, you haven't seen it yet, go rent it now. Seriously. Get off the computer and go. ("You are a smelly pirate hooker!") And this isn't like Renee's "rave" of "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" from Kishelle's blog, either....because this movie actually WAS hysterically funny. ("I love lamp!")

We also rented "Little Black Book," with Brittany Murphy and Ron Livingston (aka "the guy from Office Space"). The first hour was okay, but the last half hour was AWESOME. A very surprise ending; I kept saying, "Oh my God! Oh my GOD!" (Even Jeff, who slept through the rest of the movie, payed attention to that part of the movie.) It's definitely a "chick flick," though. Don't even TRY to make your boyfriend/husband watch it.

("You've got a dirty whorish mouth!")

Ok, I still have to rent this Harold and Kumar movie but I thought Anchorman was entertaining, although a little stupid. but he did have some good one liners. But I saw Hitch and the Notebook this weekend, ok, they don't get much better than the Notebook. OMG, great movie!! Hitch was also good, it was hysterical. I love Will Smith!

PS: I am deeply sad that Jeff Gordon won the race, especially since I am a true Junior fan! But anyone would be better than Gordon. That is my Nascar two-cents!

Well Anna, I hear the Notebook is pretty sappy and emotional, so if the person you heard that bad review from doesn't like those kinds of movies, then maybe that's why they weren't a fan of the Notebook. But since I know Kishelle and Nikki so well, I'm taking their advice and renting that movie.

And yeah, I really want to see Hitch too...but we're on a budget right now so I have to wait till it comes out on video.

And as for the Daytona 500: I'm not even commenting. (#*&$$^&$*# Gordon.

Well I guess it depends if you like that "stupid" humor. You know I'm all about it, so... =-)

There was no redeeming intellectual value to the movie. None whatsoever. But I sure laughed my ass off.

Its great after a hard week at work when you need to just sit down, NOT think and have a great laugh.

Yeah, I adore Will Smith too. I LOVE him in comedy roles; it's nice to see him returning to his roots. Too bad I have to wait for it to come out on video.
