Broken road.

Renee and Anna commented on the "sadness" of "Broken Road" as my new blog title. Believe it or not, I actually intended for it to have positive, optimistic connotations. There's a country song by Rascal Flatts called "Bless the Broken Road;" it talks about how enduring the sad, the heartbreaking and the unexpected are all part of bringing you to where you're someday meant to be. The song is primarily about the search for that special someone; and although I obviously do hope that there's someone out there waiting for me, I also take it as hope and inspiration for EVERYTHING my future holds.

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you

Every long lost dream lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

BTW, Anna, the Mean Man said that maybe you guys should paint the wall first and then select the tile based off of that; maybe it would help to eliminate some choices, if nothing else.

And I think your Tile Saga would make an excellent post. Hell for you, comedic relief for us.

Jen- I love that song and it makes perfect sense to me. Since I have started my blog over, I understand starting fresh, a new start. I think you are just trying to find the positive side of making new starts in all areas of your life!

Liz sent that email around, too--how did I get it and you didn't? LOL--they're hysterical though.

Probably not--I mean, I guess they COULD. Still funny, though.

I absolutely love that song by Rascal Flatts, and Jen you know in my case it's true! The first time I heard that song I I bawled my eyes out! I think it's a brilliant title for your blog, provided it continues to have a positive connotation.
