My (other) new career.

As some of you know, I recently became a mystery shopper (where companies pay you to go shopping "undercover" and complete a report on the customer service you received, cleanliness of the store, etc.). I had my first "shop" this past weekend (a Frederick's of Hollywood at a local mall). I made $9 for this particular assignment, which is pretty cool; unfortunately, while I was at the mall, I SPENT $25 at Bath and Body Works and Borders (in my defense, Bath and Body Works WAS having their semi-annual sale and I got some really good deals). At this rate, this new hobby of mine is going to put me right back into bankruptcy.

Jen- I am a sucker for a good sale and when I get into the mall at places like bath and body, all bets are off. So what i do is, I only take cash into the mall to avoid the temptation or i take Mason, who keeps me too occupied to really shop :), so borrow a kid or leave the wallet in the car :).

Renee, Jeff says, "Shit, $75 at Bath and Body Works? She's not muy girlfriend anymore. I can't have a girlfriend who spends $75 on soap." I tried to explain to him, but...

What DID you buy, anyway? I got some of that antibacterial handwash (3 for $10) and a really good deal on this special moisturing body wash that's usually $12 each--I got 2 for $5 each.

I went back yesterday. I couldn't resist the Siren Song. I got FIVE Body Washes and Lotions for $25. (Mango, Raspberry and Vanilla Black Cherry). Normally, they're $10 each, so this was a fabulous deal. Jeff is actually pretty good now about humoring me when we go there and not rushing me as I peruse the new scents and products and stuff. (Yes, I said "peruse.") I'm not much of a "shopper" like a lot of women so this is my big indulgence.
